Assessment
Learners at Ashgate Croft are split into two groups; sensory learners and subject specific learners, different assessment systems are used for these groups. Teachers use an assessment programme called B squared. All new pupils are base-lined after they have been with us for a term (two half terms).
The below table shows the assessment systems in school.

End of Year Assessment
For all pupils, end of year assessment will be against their end of year targets (in Engagement/progress and Adult steps) and recorded as limited progress/working towards/achieved/exceeded. Their progress will be tracked throughout the year. For other subjects, pupils will be assessed and this will be recorded as emerging/working within/achieved for each level, so that it is easier to track progress within levels.
